Alternative Wedding Photography

Ceremony Venue: The Grwyne Valley (Forest of Mynydd Du)

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of shooting this fantastic outdoor Pagan Ceremony in the ‘Grwyne Valley’ followed by the most amazing vintage themed Reception in a Marquee at the Groom’s family home.

This is another firm favourite of mine with beautiful vintage themed details and a stunning and smiley bride who despite wearing a beautiful white dress, actually asked to go paddling in a nearby lake, with her dress on!

If only every wedding I photographed could be like this one! I don’t even know where to start with how amazingly cool and quirky it was! The Landrover done up to the nines in wedding bunting was just one of many fabulously alternative details showcased in this wedding! Owain and Nicola were very much an alternative couple and their wedding very much reflects their desire to differ from the norm. They married the previous day in a registry office which allowed them to have complete control over their outdoor ceremony which they did in front of their family and friends. With the way marriage license work in Wales, this is a great loophole if you’re looking for a unique wedding.
