Wedding Photography At Rosedew Farm

Venue: Rosedew Farm

Another beautiful Wedding at one of the most fantastic wedding venues in Wales, Rosedew Farm in Llantwit Major. When I first met Mark & Beth and discovered they were getting married at Rosedew Farm I was literally ecstatic! It’s one of those venues that just oozes charm and loveliness!

It’s been a few years since I was last here and I was pleased to discover it’s still just as fabulous!

Both Mark & Beth opted to get ready on site in the venue’s beautiful cottages, my fabulous second shooter Angharad Thomas Photography got lumbered with the boys whilst I spent the morning with the girls. Judging by the photos of the boys prep, I definitely got the better end of the stick, wallflowers they were not!

On arrival, I was greeted with a Rosedew’s unbelievably pretty and delicious looking grazing platter, I don’t normally photograph breakfast but it looked so amazing I couldn’t not!

Next up, Beth’s Gatsby style wedding dress, so stunningly simple and absolutely the right choice for Beth! The bridesmaids were also looking amazing in a mixture of dresses and separates which were hand made by one of the bridesmaids mums. If you ever look at my Instagram, it’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of separates, they just look so cool!

Once ready, the girls had to brave ridiculous mile an hour winds to get from the cottage to the barn, up until Storm Hannah last weekend, this was genuinely the windiest wedding I’ve ever photographed!

After a lovely ceremony in the barn (which looked unbelievable decorated with lots of flowers), we braved the winds again for some group shots outside. If we thought it was windy outside the barn, the beach was something else. Whilst I managed to hold my balance (with a great deal of difficulty), Mark actually got blown over. Angharad, ever the pro started photographing the fall before realising she should probably offer some assistance  😂

Despite the fact the winds were beyond loud and Beth & Mark probably couldn’t even hear our attempts at humour, we got some beautiful shots at the beach before heading back to the farm and opting for something a little bit different, a few photos in the cow sheds. Again, if you take a look at my Instagram, I’m all about the corrugated metal!

We arrived back at the reception to find Wales about to win the grand slam, cue lots of cheering / general merriment.

After Wales’ epic win, the whole wedding party was on an absolute high and Angharad and I left smiling just after the first dance.

Absolutely epic wedding here, already up there with my favourites, thank you so much to Angharad for being a top second shooter and thank you to Mark & Beth for choosing me to capture the day!

Finally, thank you so much to the team at Rosedew, awesome to work with and can’t wait to come back!

If you’re looking for an alternative wedding venue in Wales that’s a little bit different from the traditional then Rosedew Farm is a fantastic choice. From the rustic barn accommodation to the main barn where the wedding ceremony and reception take place, this venue is simply stunning. It’s rustic charm is one that few venues in Wales can compete with and I absolutely loved photographing here.
