So first and foremost, I haven’t gone mad! I know it’s March and perhaps a little late in the day to be posting my 2017 highlights but better late than never is often my motto!

Much like 2014, 15 and 16, 2017 has passed by in a whir of weddings, weddings and more weddings. I’m not sure when the novelty will wear off but four years in and I’m still having an absolute blast! 2017 has seen weddings across Wales and the South West, my car that started off brand new and beautiful is now battered and covered in mud from driving up various dirt tracks to get to those rustic wedding venues that I love so much, my cameras are off having their annual service ahead of 2018’s wedding season and so what better time to blog some of my favourite pictures from the last 12 months?!

I have to admit this has been a mammoth task trying to sort through thousands of images in order to create this blog so it’s slightly shorter than I originally planned with select images from a just a few weddings.

As is customary with these blog posts, I want to say a big thank you to all the beautiful people I photographed in 2017, without sounding like I’m giving an oscars speech, I couldn’t do it without you!

Speaking of speeches, I recently won a welsh wedding award for ‘Creative Photographer Of The Year’, this was very very exciting and would have been an absolute coup had it not been for my horrendous speech and my pretty much sprinting off the stage! I am still blushing when I think about it and even worse, I was photographing a wedding last week when the venue owners who happened to have been at the ceremony and also won an award for best venue, recognised me / remembered me not for the fact I won an award but for the fact I ran off the stage! Before enquiring with me, might be worth bearing in mind that I may not be able to show my face amongst any other welsh wedding suppliers for the foreseeable!

Thank you and Goodnight . . . .

If you’re getting married in 2018 / 19 / 20 and beyond and are still looking for your perfect wedding photographer then please do get in touch and let’s meet for coffee and a chat. I already have some really exciting weddings in the diary for 2018 / 19 and am keen for more rustic beauties! I love barns, flower crowns and my new favourite venue type – cow sheds.
